Special Order Items/Custom Made Items Policy
- Introduction
At Diversion Automotive, we understand that our customers have unique preferences and requirements, which is why we offer special order items and custom made products. These items are designed to meet your specific needs and are not readily available in our regular inventory. By purchasing a custom item, you agree to this policy and are happy to wait for the item to be prepared. This policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the ordering, production, delivery, and cancellation of special order items/custom made items.
- Ordering Process
2.1. Product Selection: Customers interested in special order items/custom made items must first consult with our sales team to discuss their specific requirements, including design, specifications, and any customization options available.
2.2. Quotation: Based on the customer's requirements, our sales team will provide a detailed quotation, including the price, lead time, and any additional terms and conditions.
2.3. Order Placement: To proceed with the order, the customer must confirm their acceptance of the quotation and provide any required down payment or deposit as specified in the quotation.
- Lead Time
3.1. Variation in Lead Time: The lead time for special order items/custom made items can vary between 2 to 14 weeks, depending on the complexity of the product, availability of materials, and current production schedule.
3.2. Communication of Lead Time: Upon order confirmation, our sales team will provide an estimated delivery date based on the prevailing lead time. We will make every effort to keep the customer informed of any changes or delays that may arise during the production process. Please note that this may not always be possible.
- Production and Delivery
4.1. Production Process: Once the order is confirmed and necessary payments are received, our production team will commence work on the special order item/custom made item, adhering to the agreed design, specifications, and customization details.
4.2. Delivery: Upon completion of production, we will arrange for the delivery, installation, or pickup of the special order item/custom made item, as agreed with the customer. Any additional delivery charges, including shipping fees or installation costs, will be communicated to the customer beforehand.
4.3. Inspection and Acceptance: Upon receiving the special order item/custom made item, the customer must inspect it for any defects or discrepancies. If any issues are identified, the customer must notify us within a 7 day period as specified in our returns and exchanges policy.
- Cancellation and Returns
5.1. Cancellation Policy: Once the order is confirmed, any alteration requests must be made in writing within 48 hours. After this period, cancellations may not be accepted, or cancellation fees may apply, depending on the stage of production and costs incurred.
5.2. Returns and Exchanges: Special order items/custom made items are typically not eligible for returns or exchanges unless they are defective, damaged during delivery, or do not meet the agreed-upon specifications. The customer must notify us within the specified timeframe mentioned in our returns and exchanges policy to initiate the return or exchange process.
- Payment Terms
6.1. Upfront Payment: Upfront payment is the most common method of payment. This means that we take a full payment prior to producing the item for you.
6.2. Down Payment/Deposit: To initiate the production process for special order items/custom made items, a down payment or deposit as specified in the quotation is required. This payment is non-refundable unless the cancellation is made within the specified cancellation period.
6.3. Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be settled before the delivery or pickup of the special order item/custom made item, as per the agreed-upon payment terms.

7.1. Warranty Coverage: Special order items/custom made items are covered by our standard warranty policy. The specific warranty terms and duration will be communicated to the customer at the time of purchase.
